I’m paying an extra $60 a month for a line we don’t use. Verizon refuses to let me keep just one line. I’ve paid my contract fees already. Peace outtttt.

THEY (VW) are changing the FUS charge- not the FCC or anyone else. Verizon passes that cost on to the customer- when that price goes UP, that is a change in the service: “We may change prices or any other term of your Service or this agreement at any time, but we’ll provide notice first, including written notice…” Yet they also FAIL to provide any notice- it’s just SURPRISE! Pay us more :(

From VW agreement: “We may change prices or any other term of your Service or this agreement at any time, but we’ll provide notice first, including written notice if you have Postpay Service.” — Has ANYONE ever received written notice of the Universal Tax increase?

Still hasn’t worked for me, called 2x and each time it boiled down to them just saying they’re not going to let me out. The first time they claimed that because they’re willing to retroactively/proactively compensate me for the amount that the FUS went up, then it doesn’t count as a “materially adverse affect”. The second time i escalated it to a manager and he kept saying that the 60 day clause only applied to changes in the plan (not surcharges, etc.).

If you’re a Postpay customer and a change to your Plan or this agreement has a material adverse effect on you, you can cancel the line of Service that has been affected within 60 days of receiving the notice with no Early Termination Fee if we fail to negate the change after you notify us of your objection to it.
It says if we fail to negate the change so yes they can. Was this a new addition to their contract since the vid was made in 08? When did they change it?

They’ve altered the agreement since this video was made:
“For Postpay Service, our charges also include Federal Universal Service, Regulatory and Administrative Charges, and we may also include other charges related to our governmental costs. We set these charges; they aren’t taxes, they aren’t required by law, they are not necessarily related to anything the government does, they are kept by us in whole or in part, and the amounts and what they pay for may change.”
